About me

Born in Mexico City and 25 years old, Diego Padilla is a graduate of the Cinematographic Training Center. In addition to cinema, he has extensive training in theater,  area in which he specialized at CEDART "Diego Rivera". 

As a director, he has written and directed five short films; three have been selected in national festivals such as the Mix Festival or the Cecehachero Film Fest, where he won best short film with his short "Memories of the man I wasn't". He was part of the emerging talent section of the Kinoki Film Fest in 2020 and as a screenwriter he was a finalist in the Angular Script Festival where the jury was chaired by Guillermo Arriaga. His last two short films: "Eyelids" and "Demian" are in post production. 

He has ventured into the world of video clips and video dance, his most notable works include a CENART collaboration with the German musician Christian Löffler directing the video clip "ROTH". He was selected within the framework of the National Meeting of Young Art 2023 with his video dance "Disassembly"  that has been exhibited in different parts of the country.

In advertising, he has directed commercials for brands such as Haier and Recarlo. Additionally, he enjoys working as an editor and still photographer. Currently, Diego is writing his first feature film script.
